Shoe Box Program 2019
The Shoe Box Program allows you, your group, or youth group to directly support the school children in Riviere Mancelle.
The Shoe Box Program which began as a way to give gifts to sponsored school children has now blossomed into a project that serves all of the school children.
For the sake of all of the children, we now break down the shoe boxes, giving a toy or a treat to each of the children. The simple toys that are sent bring delight and laughter. The teachers and principle distribute the school supplies to the children, these school supplies are often the only supplies a class has. The personal care products are distributed where there is the greatest need.
The truth is that we collect between 150 and 200 shoe boxes, but 750 children attend school. In a country where daily life is defined by grinding poverty, sharing is survival.
The gifts and supplies included in the shoe boxes are extremely important. Please support this important program.
If you are packing a single shoebox, please feel free to mix items, however, we suggest for those of you who have a more specific focus, or are packing multiple boxes, please pack each shoe box with just one type of item, example: toys, or school supplies, or personal hygiene products.
Please include $7.00 shipping for each shoe box. Mèci, Mèci, Anpil! Thank You, Thank You, Very Much!
