Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Schools

We have begun collaborating with St Francis Cabrini Church in Lebanon, TN to support three schools in Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish. They are:

• SAINTE THÉRÈSE DE L’ENFANT JESUS’S SCHOOL
• CHRIST-ROI’S SCHOOL (GARÇIN)
• SAINTE VERINIQUE’S SCHOOL (BOUCAN RICHARD)

There are 27 teachers with 650 students in the three schools.

We do not use the sponsor-a-student method to fund the schools because, in the face of such extreme poverty, it leaves too many children with nothing. Instead, funds raised pay for the teachers’ salaries. Once donations exceed the cost of supporting the teachers, we will continue to fundraise to purchase food for the school lunch program. We’re able to feed the 27 teachers, 650 children, and 12 cooks for approximately $500 per day.
