Sea Container 2024!
We are pleased to announce that we can participate in a sea container going to our area in Haiti. Items include:
• “Days for Girls” products. These are reusable personal feminine hygiene products.
• soccer uniforms.
• books in Haitian Creole.
• Priestly vestments
• Items requested for the agriculture center that are unavailable in Haiti.
Not all of these items are critical for survival. But they are things that offer dignity and hope. We all wish we could do more.
We have a request from Ramonia and Dapheny, the two young women that The Haiti Project put through nursing school. They have finished their schooling and now want to return to their village and open a clinic. They are requesting:
• Baby formula
• Bandages
• Over-the-counter medications
• Miscellaneous medical supplies (thermometers, blood pressure cuffs, etc}
We are asking for monetary donations so that we can order in bulk and have it shipped directly to Fort Meyers.
The shipping cost is more than doubled and we need help with these expenses. We need to raise $2000 to ship from Fort Myers Florida to Haiti, and then to our area.
We do not know what it will cost to ship the over 65 cubic feet 805 miles from Middle Tennessee to Fort Meyers Florida.
Of course, we would love to ship more. We will if your donations exceed our cost.
We want to thank all of you for your recent support. It makes it possible for our work to continue. Your donations to feed the children make it possible to feed them one day a week. Food costs have more than tripled over the last two years. Food for the Poor is also donating enough food to feed the children an additional day a week.
Your gift impacts thousands of the poorest of the poor living in these rural villages..
Thank you, Bob and Denise
