Last weekend I went on retreat. It was the first time in too many years and I was needful.
I was rewarded with one take away that I will always keep close.
"I pray for wisdom to identify useless thoughts… and not let them distract me."

I agree,the gift of wisdom is the gift of gifts. I like to play sometimes and tell some of my friends this joke. Had Napoleon asked for wisdom, as king Solomon did, y’all’d be speaking French right now. St Louis would be the capital and the Cardinals would be the national baseball team.
And Haiti would have remained a French colony! Thank God Napoleon had short-range vision!
