I am sitting here in the relatively safety of our apartment. Concrete walls and roof. Our neighbors all live in little more than one room. Most do have a tin roof, but many have thatch. Some have woven stick walls plastered with mud. Many with woven palm leaves for walls. Almost all built on from a slope to a steep mountain side. Some in the flood plain.
The forecast is for up to an unimaginable 40 inches of rain.
God save us. Please Pray.
The wind is picking up. As long as the cell service works and I can get a data signal I will keep every one posted.
PLEASE keep us posted as best you can. You are all in my prayers.
Keeping everyone in my prayers and thoughts always.
You and all in harms way are in our thoughts and prayers.
Vaya con dios!
xoxoxo
I pray for you and your family away from home to stay safe.
I’m sorry I missed your call. I left my phone to charge, and didn’t see the call till much later. Then there was an email that said you arrived in Haiti.
Please let me know if you need anything.
Love you,
Dar
May God be with you and all the people of Haiti. We will anxiously await further news.
