  1. Hi Bob and Denise. I had to return to Austin after getting a conjunctivitis eye infection which the doctor in Basen Ble mis diagnosed as a microbial infection instead of a viral infection. It was getting worse after five days since my immune system is not exactly strong and young. It was confusing not yet having a diagnose. Now I’m back in Austin and it will clear up in a week or so and leave no damage behind it. But just to let you know that this virus is in Gros Morne now. although I don’t know to what extent it is being spread. Highly contageous.

I assume you all know about the new bus service linking PoP with Port-de-Paix using nice air conditioned buses following a schedule of departures. . It would have been an easy trip from G.M to PoP except a road block did cause a 6 hour delay but I didn’t miss my plane which was the next day. I found the airport extremely friendly and helpful. The Servotel hotel near the airport was super comfortable and accomodating. 142/night but including full breakfast and limousine to airport and beautiful rooms. Fast internet, and quick electricity recovery when needed. At least I will winter in GM but not sure about returning until the weather cools. Monfort also had the virus, but threw it off in less than 2 days.
